Knowledge of cooking Dosa, Uttappa, Idli, Medu wada and poha and other south Indian items.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food
Regulate temperature of ovens, boilers, grills, and roasters.
Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods.
He should have knowledge of and will operate the equipment in the kitchens
To maintain hygiene standards of self and the kitchen
Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.
